KZradio gig party @ Ozen Barby Goni Riskin | 10.04.13
KZradio (Hakatze – Hebrew for the edge/frontier/boundary/fringe etc) was established in 1999 as a daily radio show, dedicated to off mainstream music of all kinds on the most popular music station in Israel, GLGLZ. After 13 years on the air, the station decided to cut its only non-conformist branch, and the show’s DJs, Quami and Nadav Ravid were forced to seek a new home for it.
Rather than opting for the easy solution, and signing up with a rival FM station, the two decided to establish a new internet station, broadcasting every day, and broadening its ranks with a team of expert DJs and radio professionals.
The station just celebrated its first year on-air/online with a successful crowd funding campaign and a gig party at the Tel Aviv Ozen Bar. Check out the video’s from this event
