“Yvonne” is a new opera that was written by Hamuchtar (Gilad Philip ben David). It is a musical poetic work dedicated to the tragic history of the German-Jewish relationship through a fantasy tale occurring in a shopping mall in the heart of Berlin 20 years after the fall of the Berlin wall. Yvonne was produced by the Opera fringe center in Jaffa and was performed in the least likely place to put an opera on: Tel Aviv central bus station. The interior of this gigantic structure act as a decoration to the opera, with subtitles in Hebrew and in English.
