The Telavivian Woman
In the lead up to Telavivian’s first ever Pop Up Shop we asked six of our favourite Telavivian women to adorn themselves with some of the beautiful pieces from our featured womenswear designers – Aviva Zilberman, CommonRaven, HANNAH and TRES.
Vlada is a model from the Ukraine and has been living in Tel Aviv for seven years. Working as a model for six years she has been styled by the likes of Carolina Israel, Castro, Opticana, Maya Geller and Yaniv Persy. When she isn’t making Israeli design even more beautiful, she paints. Vlada works with various painterly techniques and is planning on exhibiting in the near future, she has high ambitions as an artist.

Dikla is an actress best known for her role as Yael in the Israeli TV series Shovrei Galim. Dikla also dabbles in directing and producing and is in the process of making her own short film which she has even written herself. Being in front of the camera has inspired Dikla to produce her own film – she loves movies and wants to immerse herself and learn about all aspects of the process of filmmaking. In October she will begin her film studies at Tel Aviv University.

Or is a bass player and member of REO. Currently recording a first album (to be released in two months) takes up almost all of her time. Or says that she is working round the clock to perfect the album in a South Tel Aviv studio but we were lucky enough to steal a little of her time to shoot her in this beauty of a dress.

Anna is practically styling the nation as she works as a fashion stylist with some of the top Israeli magazines. Anna has her place firmly set in the Israeli fashion world, alongside magazines she styles lookbooks and works as a personal shopper. Working onset as the stylist for singer Yael Shoshana Cohen on her latest album, Anna has high ambitions to open an event in Emek Hefer where she wants to bring together fashion designers from Tel Aviv under one roof.

Shlomit is an interior designer working with all sorts of spaces from offices to private homes and lofts. Working her way to interior design through advertising and fashion, Shlomit is a creative who has turned her passions to design. Taking particular interest in Israeli design like Kastiel AS IS and searching her way through the Jaffo fleamarket, Shlomit has an eye for succinct and diverse style. She works with artists such as Dani Back and her husband, video artist Ran Slavin.

SHAY LEE NISSIM
Shay Lee is a freelance stylist, who knows precisely how to put things together. Teaching styling as a guest lecturer at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Shay has been working for a start up called Famuza, a company with a whole new approach to fashion styling. To top things off, Shay also works as a personal shopper. She has ambitions to work outside of Tel Aviv and bring a little Israeli flair to European magazines. When she isn’t styling her way through the city, Shay travels around the country and does lots of yoga.

Telavivian’s first Pop Up Shop for Israeli Design is taking place tonight and tomorrow. Castro F/W14 Fashion Show
The Telavivian fashion crowd gathered the other day as Castro presented its latest collection.
“My wardrobe is about unique designs, bold prints and statement accessories. I prefer small, independent brands with distinctive style. Some of my favorites are: Lip Service (which I wear in this photo-session), Kill Star, Iron Fist, Abbey Dawn. My look is inspired by musical icons, such as David Bowie and Elly Jackson (“La Roux”)”.
